Analyzing the Role of AI in Improving the Effectiveness of Online Learning

Abstract

The study highlights the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the conduct and organisation of online learning, mainly through digital platforms. These platforms save teachers time, objectively assess students’ knowledge, personalise tasks, and use interactive elements, such as games, in the learning process. Based on scientific research in pedagogy and information technology (IT), the main models and areas of application of digital technologies are identified. The principles of their use, advantages and disadvantages, and the limitations teachers face when introducing AI into the educational process are described. The main areas of online learning, including adaptive learning, gamification and badging, are identified, and their impact on the learning process is also discussed in detail. Particular attention is paid to the impact of digitalisation on the work and employment of teachers, their changing role in teaching, and their involvement in the education process. The paper discusses the problems the education system faces in implementing AI, including obstacles and challenges. It also emphasises the importance of further research and development of AI in education to improve learning processes in the future.
