This study examines the integration of biomaterials and sustainable practices in the personalization of interiors in standard residential buildings, with emphasis on both functional and aesthetic improvements. The research applies a combination of literature review, comparative analysis of material properties, and evaluation of occupant feedback to assess the influence of natural materials and eco-friendly strategies on indoor comfort, air quality, acoustic performance, and overall well-being. The findings reveal that the use of wood, cork, bamboo, and natural fibers, together with sustainable approaches such as resource optimization, energy-efficient design, natural lighting, and component reuse, markedly improves the quality, visual appeal, and environmental performance of residential interiors. The results further demonstrate that incorporating biomaterials into standardized layouts enables the creation of individualized and adaptive spaces that address diverse occupant needs while preserving ecological and economic efficiency. The study underscores the potential for mass housing projects to adopt sustainable, human-centered design strategies and identifies directions for future research concerning long-term durability, cost-effectiveness, and broader implementation of biomaterials in residential construction.
