This study aims to explore the potential of digital currencies for enhancing banking operations in Ukraine. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining analysis of international digital currency models with expert interviews from the Ukrainian banking sector. The results highlight key opportunities, including improved transaction efficiency, cost reduction, and financial inclusion. However, regulatory uncertainty and technological infrastructure remain challenges. The findings underscore the need for a balanced regulatory framework and investment in digital infrastructure to support future integration of digital currencies into Ukraine’s banking system.
