Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of modern cryptographic methods in information security systems. The research evaluates encryption algorithms based on cryptographic strength, performance, resource consumption, quantum resistance, and flexibility. A comparative analysis of AES-256, RSA-4096, ECC-384, SHA-3-512, and CRYSTALS-Kyber was conducted. The results indicate that AES-256 offers the best balance of security and speed, while post-quantum algorithms provide strong resistance against quantum attacks but require high computational resources. These findings emphasize the importance of selecting encryption methods based on specific security needs and future-proofing against quantum computing advancements.
